On Ellis is the team behind Third Thursdays on Ellis Street — a free, community-driven music series in the heart of San Francisco. Born out of the city’s need for connection and culture after COVID, our mission is simple: bring people together through live entertainment, support local businesses, and showcase the best of San Francisco.

Founded by the team at John’s Grill, On Ellis grew from a passion for music into a collective effort with partners like The Midway, Union Square Alliance, and more. What started as small gatherings during the quiet days of the pandemic has now become a monthly block party that mixes the energy of a rave with the soul of a neighborhood celebration — all set against the backdrop of one of the city’s most historic restaurants.
